PourCeption Paintings is based in Chattanooga,TN by artist/owner Taryn Teligades. She has always turned to various forms of art throughout her life as an outlet but when she discovered fluid art, it was a form of therapy she had never experienced & a time in her life when she needed it the most. Taryn was struggling with her mental health due to overwhelming loss at the time & decided to try something new. 

  As she was pouring her first cup onto the canvas, she felt an immediate shift within herself.   ” it was as if the pain I was feeling inside, was pouring out onto the canvas. To witness the transformation of the pain into something beautiful is very magical.” states Taryn. 

She noticed each time people viewed her paintings, they all saw something different within the composition. It’s all dependent on each viewers perception- hence why she chose the business name “POURception Paintings”. She hopes her paintings will bring joy to people, be a conversation starter or possibly inspire someone who may be struggling to try something new- therapy comes in many forms!
